Our groomer, Kyla Smith, will meet with you personally when you schedule or drop off your pet for their appointment to discuss your haircut/style or grooming expectations. She will provide you with the exact costs and how long to expect the groom to take. Simple baths take much less time than full grooms/haircuts and styles. If there are any medical issues uncovered while your precious pet is being cared for by Kyla, she is trained to let the veterinarian (Dr. Becky) examine and see if it's safe for your pet to continue or need medical treatment if you consent. Sometimes medical issues are uncovered once your pet's fur is shaved or dematted. Rest assured, if there are any issues at all, Kyla will contact you immediately. We also offer short exposure grooms for puppies/kittens to get used to the grooming process and desensitize them to the experience so they will enjoy their spa time as an adult. Breeds that will need consistent grooming over their entire life like Shih Tzus, Yorkies, Schnauzers, Poodles- Poodle related breeds, Himalayans to name a few, desensitizing them to the process will have a great impact on their tolerance later in life. We want your pet to have the best experience possible, and sometimes even the most seasoned dog or cat can have a bad day, so we will always discontinue grooming if the pet is becoming stressed.
